For centuries tea has been enjoyed not only for the variety of flavour that it offers but also for it's unique medicinal properties.
According to Chinese lore tea was discovered nearly 5000 years ago when leaves dropped into a cup of warm water belonging to the emperor S.Nong
This Fuzhuan dark tea comes from Hunan province, China, and undergoes a consistent and regulated process of fermentation. This Fu tea is produced by the damp-piling method , but unlike other post fermented teas, this tea intentionally fermented with Eutorium cristatum (Trichomacceae) fungus, also known as the "Golden flower".
Some recent studies have found that his particular fungus in the fu tea can play an active role prolonging the lifespan of humans and also significantly effects and improves intestinal hyperglycemia, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes and other chronic diseases.
