The term "kyusu" (急須) means "quick brew" in Japanese, reflecting this teapot's essential role in preparing the perfect cup of green tea. Crafted by master potter Sawada Tomohiro, this Tokoname-yaki kyusu is a masterpiece of form and function.

Forged from dark grey clay and adorned with Tomohiro's signature metallic glaze, this teapot features a unique spiral white glaze accent on the lid. Its wider, flatter design is specifically engineered to extract the full umami essence of high-grade sencha and gyokuro teas.

The generously sized ceramic sasame filter ensures smooth, effortless pouring while allowing tea leaves to unfurl and steep perfectly. With a wide top opening, you can watch the intricate tea preparation process and easily clean the pot afterwards.

Rooted in the 800-year-old Tokoname pottery tradition, this 240ml kyusu transforms everyday tea brewing into an art form.

Dimensions: 15cm width (including handle), 7.5cm height
